![]() In Redux there different armor kits but the AI allows for unrealistic kills. Nazi NPC had different armor kit than Bandits and such. Last Light and Redux a player can kill an armored NPC in the foot. If Redux kept the Original attack melees with an option for instant stealth kill/knockout- the Redux would be much better. Single knife melee compared original hold of throwing knife is certainly different. The only time to engage hand to hand combat without the instant kill/knockout like Last Light was to melee a little before and maybe AI would fight back. In original 2033 if a player stabbed wrong spot on NPC with throwing knife- hand to hand happened. Overall the Redux looks fency and plays better but in terms of visuals and overall graphic concept it doesnt hold a candle to the original version, at least on the PC of course.Īnyone else who played the original a lot experienced the same ? Let me know ! cheers The enemies are also more frightening in the original as they dont have that glossy shine as in the Redux. In the original it looks so much better than the blurry version in the Redux. ![]() I know that a lot of console players and PC players never experienced the original Metro 2033 but I encourage you to give it a try and then decide for yourself which one looks better for you.Īs for me, call me crazy but I like the original better, I mean something just doesnt click with me in Metro 2033 Redux and some of the ingame stuff looks actually worse ! Best example is at the beginning when Artyom goes out and sees the radio tower, look at the radiotower in the original and in the Redux version and compare the views. The thing is some lighting in the original Metro 2033 looks even more next gen than some FPS games we have today, I would even say it is as significant as Crysis was on its original release date. ![]() Now as a big Metro fan that I am I got both Redux versions yesterday and decided to compare the original Metro 2033 and the Redux remake and to my huge surprise the original Metro 2033 looks better than Redux, and I maxed both games out at very high on my 660 GTX-Ti just to make sure I am not missing anything. I got Metro Last Light on the PC on launch date and absolutely loved it and its new refined mechanics but for some reason it kinda lacked the grittyness of the original (Last Light kinda feels a little bit more cartoonish and glossy in its artdesign). Processor: Intel Core i5 2.I am a PC guy mainly and I remember playing Metro 2033 on a rather weak PC and in DX9 when I first played it years ago but I remember it being pretty decent and pretty good looking (easily on par wit STALKER complete 2009 mod). These drivers are currently only compatible with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and can be found here. Additional Notes: Notice for OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 users with an Nvidia graphics card at or above the minimum specification listed: Currently separate drivers are available to fix performance issues specifically affecting Nvidia users who are using OS X Yosemite.Graphics: Radeon HD7950 3GB / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750m 1GB.Graphics: DirectX 10, Shader Model 4 compliant graphics cards (GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB, GeForce GTS 250, etc).Processor: Dual Core CPU (2.2+ GHz Dual Core CPU ).You can also use our free test tool to check it! You would be able to run Metro 2033 Redux on your PC if it meets minimum requirements below.
