![]() Hopefully one of you experienced users can enlighten me. I'm sorry if these questions are simple but I have asked all of my friends who use ableton and they are unable to help. before I had this issue the "Device On" option in the control chooser had solid black text and a little red square next to it. ![]() I can choose "Device On" in the control chooser which is underneath the fades/device chooser but this is the only option which is a pale grey. When I press play in session view after using the master play button or playing each track individually all tracks play but in a continuous loop rather than the stops and starts I have set up in the arrangement view. I have started each track individualy and used the master play button to start all of the tracks at once, neither of these actions have been a solution. The yellow button which has the track number is on in arrangement view when I press play but then when I switch over to session view all of the tracks turn off. When I press the play button after pressing the return to arrangement button I get no sound and the devices are on. The tracks are audio, I am not using any midi. I have gone through every tutorial I could find and nothing seems to cover this issue. I have tried arming all of the tracks from both the session view and arrangement view with no luck. The most incredible feature is the synchronization with iPhoto '09. This happens if I just press the play button on the track too. The GPS tracks are drawn on different maps which are also available while being unconnected from the internet. When I double click next to the track play button as though I were loading a new track and then click the play button itself, three of the devices will become active again in the arrangement view but the remainder of the devices show the pale grey Device On display. I click the Back to Arrangement button while in arrangement view and all of the device's displays read that the devices are in fact on but when I press play I have no audio.Īfter this doesnt work, I switch back to the session view and all of the devices shut off. There is no little red light next to the pale grey Device On display. In the arrangement view the words Device On is a pale grey indicating that the device is not on. I am not sure exactly what I am doing to cause the issue but for some reason after extended periods of editing in the arrangement view and the session view, switching back and forth between the two with no problems, I finally do something which causes the tracks to turn off. I have Ableton Live Lite 8 and I want to upgrade right now, this software is awesome. For being the first time I have used Ableton I have created an entire song with ease save for the issue which I am about to bring up. I have used Fruity Loops and Pro Tools in the past and I was not as impressed as I am with Ableton 8. I spent four hours working on my first song and I am very impressed with Abletons user friendly environment. I am new to Ableton and I am having a little trouble.
